To intervene at the micro level to address immediate needs, e.g. food, shelter & health

To understand the situation and factors that bring a child onto the street and the problems faced by them

To provide different options to enable children to lead their life with dignity

To advocate child rights and to sensitize various stakeholders such as Police, RPF (Railway Police Force), Railway Officials, Education Department, Juvenile Welfare Department etc

To influence policy and practice by demonstrating this unique mode of reintegration of street children with family and community

To establish a caring community for children and ensure protection of their rights

To mobilize the support of civil society on this issue

To mobilize resources from the Government, the Corporate World, professionals, Community Based Organisations (CBOs), the business community, educational institutions and concerned citizens

To fulfill these aims Aashray adopts various approaches based on the category of the children involving various stakeholders such as Municipal Administration, Police, Railways, NGOs, CBOs, Educational Institutions, Child Rights Activists, Hospitals and Government Departments
